Privacy policy
Short, because the site does little: without your consent it sets no cookies, it runs no analytics and it stores the contact form in no database.
This is an English translation of the Polish Polityka prywatności, provided for convenience. The Polish version is binding and prevails in the event of any discrepancy between the two.
1. Data controller
The controller of the personal data provided on this website is Marciniak IT Paweł Marciniak, publisher of the Czytelnia product, with its registered office at ul. Karpia 23G lok. 4, 61-619 Poznań, Poland, NIP (Polish tax ID) 7811949227, REGON (business register number) 367646433. Contact in matters of personal data: contact@czytelnia.cloud.
2. What data we collect
Only what you type into the contact form yourself or send us by email:
- first name and surname,
- work email address,
- company name (optional field),
- the content of the message.
We collect nothing beyond that. The cookies described in section 7 hold only your choices (your cookie decision and the site language), not data about you. The site does not profile visitors, does not make automated decisions and does not buy data from external sources.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process the data in order to answer your enquiry and — if you ask us to — arrange a product demo. The legal basis is your consent, given by sending the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in conducting business correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing the data is voluntary, but without an email address we have no way to reply.
4. Where the message goes
A message from the form is passed directly to our mailbox and is not stored in the database of this website or of the application. We do not record the content of messages in system logs either.
To limit spam and abuse, the server records only the fact that an enquiry was sent and a hash of the sender's IP address — without the content of the message and with no way of recovering the address from it.
5. How long we keep the data
We keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation lasts and, after it ends, until any possible claims become time-barred or until you ask us to delete it. A single message to the address given in section 1 is enough.
6. Recipients of the data
The data may be processed by entities that provide us with technical services: our email provider and our server infrastructure provider. They act under data processing agreements and only to the extent necessary to provide those services. We do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Cookies, analytics and external requests
This site sets no cookies at all until you decide. On your first visit we show a bar with two equal answers: “I agree” and “I don't agree”. Our server records your decision. The site uses only two cookies — its own, with no identifier, and readable by no one but this site:
consent— remembers your decision (yesorno) so that the bar does not come back on every page. It is created when you click one of the bar's buttons — also when you decline, because without it we would have no way of respecting that. It is kept for 12 months after you agree or 6 months after you decline; after that we ask again.lang— remembers the site language you chose with the “PL / EN” switcher (ploren) so that the home page opens in that language. It is created only with your consent and only after you click the switcher. It is kept for 12 months. Without consent the switcher works just the same — the language follows from the page address — but nothing is remembered, and declining deletes an existinglangcookie.
You can change your decision at any time: the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page deletes both cookies and shows the bar again. You can also delete the cookies in your browser settings.
When you open the site's main address, the server checks the language set in
your browser (the Accept-Language header) and — if it does not include
Polish and you have not chosen a language before — sends you to the English
version. Nothing is stored in the process, and we use neither your IP address nor
your location.
We do not use analytics (Google Analytics or any other), we use no advertising cookies, and we embed no tracking pixels, social media plug-ins or fonts from external servers. The whole site loads only from our own server, so simply visiting it sends no information about you to anyone else.
The server keeps the technical logs needed for security and continuity of service. We do not build visitor profiles from them.
8. Your rights
- access to your data and a copy of it,
- rectification of inaccurate data,
- erasure of data (the “right to be forgotten”),
- restriction of processing,
- data portability,
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdrawal of consent at any time — without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
We act on each of these rights when you write to the address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
9. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
We process the data from the form on servers in the European Economic Area. Should that change, any transfer will take place only on the basis of the mechanisms provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR, and this document will be updated.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change the way the site works — for example by adding analytics — we will update this document beforehand and record the date of the change below.
